At Healthcare Personnel we understand that there are a variety of different nursing agencies to choose from. Some agencies are large, national companies. Some are small agencies started by nurses out of their homes. Healthcare Personnel has been an ally to Chicago hospitals since 1989, earning our place among the premiere Illinois based Health Care Staffing Agencies. We have grown and structured our agency to focus on providing qualified and reliable health care professionals not only to metropolitan Chicago and Chicago suburban Health Care Facilities. In 2011 we have expanding into Travel Contracts for our field associates, (RN’s and Allied Health). This gives us the greatest opportunity to meet the ongoing demands of health care providers as they adjust to the growing demand in their community. Who are we?

Deborah Hall-Kayler, President, and her team of professionals strive to provide a very caring, open and honest environment. We spend a great deal of time and energy understanding the needs of the nurses we work with so we can provide the best possible assignments at our clients’ facilities.

Deborah is a specialist in sourcing and acquiring talent from direct contributor roles to senior managers and directors by leveraging her high-touch relationship management style.  She gained national recognition as an industry thought leader, speaker and presenter. From 1998 through 2010 she serviced as President/Owner of Hall & Associates, Ltd., a national hospitality recruitment firm based in Chicago. Deborah’s professional affiliations include American Organization of Nurse Executives, Illinois Organization of Nurse leadership, two-time Chair and Board Member of the National Association of Executive Recruiters.  She holds a BA from Lake Erie College for Women.

Julie A. Mulligan, Sr. Vice President, Operations and Recruitment – is a visionary business strategist and tactician who has been in health care staffing for over 21 years in critical operational positions. She is an expert in credentialing of healthcare personnel, understands the dynamics of agency staffing and how to weave the right nurses to meet the clients needs.  She has built the agencies reputation on credibility, trust-worthiness and fairness. She earned her BS from Western Illinois University.

Gene A. Young, Vice President – Business Development – has been actively involved in staffing in the areas of Allied Health and Nursing.  He developed the National Allied Division for Medical Staffing Network for seven years.  His most recent experience before joining HPI, was overseeing the registry for MacNeal Hospital.  His experience, endless energy and passion make him a perfect match for Healthcare Personnel, Inc. as build the travel division of HPI.  He earned his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Rosemary MacLean Homer RN, BSN, MBA, Director of Nursing – has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, beginning as a staff nurse and developing into an educator, manager and consultant. She brings a strong hospital nursing background and an understanding of the dynamics of quality patient care. She is skilled in management development, healthcare regulatory requirements and in developing education programs for all levels of healthcare providers.

J. Allan Kayler, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer – Allan also has experience in the medical field. During the Vietnam War, he served two field hospitals in Lai Khe and Phuch Vinh during his time in the first infantry. His hard work enabled him to be elevated to the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army. His determination and valuable insight has been instrumental to the success of Healthcare Personnel, Inc.
